Posted from our Single Parent Website

I just wanted to say how happy I am to have found this site. I am a single mother. The desire of my heart has always been to raise my own children and keep my own home. Though I believe that if you don’t work, you don’t eat, I have never had a career mentality. I have never wanted to be working outside of my home all day long while someone else raises my child. My daughter is 9 and ever since I had to go back to full-time work when she was 3 mos. old, I have been resentful. But how was I supposed to support her otherwise? Ever since she has started school, I have been dissatisfied and she has not been happy. She is an extremely intelligent child but has no desire to do well in school, no motivation because I don’t believe she is getting what she needs as a person. It has been my desire for the last couple of years to teach her myself at home–but how could I possibly do this as a single parent? Then I find this site and honestly, just knowing it exists gives me hope! I am determined to give this to God now and let Him lead me into what I have desired to do in my heart. All things are possible with God! Thank you so much for the faith and help you have inspired with this site. God bless, P.H.
